I might be a day late and a dollar short here but I just made a discovery that relieves years of frustration. That is the ability to insure that that a new link opens in a new page.

When opening a new web page, from a link on the original page, it would appear to be capricious as to whether the new page would overwrite the original or open in a new window. Sometimes the original page might have several links that you would like to pursue.

If the original was overwritten, it would often be impossible to go back to the original, sometimes one that you found in a laborious search. Some web pages seem to lock you in, prohibiting your return to the original page. Sometimes you may go on a journey, accessing successive links in each new page, until you are many pages past your original base page. It then becomes quite laborious to go back, a page at a time, even if you are able to do so.

To insure a 'new window', right click on the link and choose 'open a new window'. That insures that your base page will remain open and available.

Thats what I do here on the forums.
Saves time so you don't have to go back to the Topics page after every post you read.

Sure is handy when you are hunting down bargains and comparison shopping.

Or if you have slow dialup, you can open 10 windows and go make a sandwich while they all load.

That's what I do all the time...I've got 10 windows open right now. :) If you get "stuck" in a web page that won't let you go back, just click on the down arrow that is next to your back button. It will give you a list of all the websites behind where you are now, and you can just click on any one of them to go there.

Kewl II, there are just all kinds of tricks buried withing the bowels of Windows. Now if someone would just discover how to control the opening size of a new window, it would be Kewl III.

Ps, ZmOz, it's a teeny, teeny little arrow. Almost missed it. Thanks

Boomyal- Look here in NBTT and go back a few days. Somebody else posted on that particular subject. I had had problems od the same sort. Xscuseme oofered 5 links to the problem. Link #4 fixed it at first and then the same night it went back to the small windows again. I got on the next day and it has stayed opened big every time since. I am bragging so now it will probably go back to small windows.
