It's been around for awhile. Apparently the guy backed in too far and everything was floating. The boat was the easiest part to grab with the tow truck, so it only looks like he drove in front first.

It is an old pic , but , if he backed in too far , why is the back of the truck facing the top of the ramp ?

I told my GF that he was trying to use his boat to pull the truck out of the water and she said "what happens when the prop is above the water" At the time it was one of those "here's your sign" moments...

Re: Funny

I've seen this in real life returning to the ramp. A guy put the wheels in too deep and the boat pulled his truck underwater ever so slowly across the underwater slime. After he had given up hope that he could push it back up on the ramp, he started running around the parking lot waving his arms in the air shouting for help, exhaust bubbling and burping to the surface in a blue haze. Poor guy. His day was ruined. The truck was submerged up to dash, boat afloat off the trailer, tethered to the winch. Good thing I brought my "come along" and I was returning to port. No one else there to help except his fishing buddy who was at a total loss and totally useless.

I'm still confused. I've seen the picture several times too but still don't understand how it got turned around if he backed in??

If the entire rig was floating, you could grab onto either end and pull it out. If it was easier to grab the trailer end, they probably did and began to pull it ashore. This picture may have been taken after the tow has started and the trailer was out of the water. This would kinda make sense for the time to take it since the truck is now coming out of the water.

However, since the window appears to be down in the truck I'm thinking that the boyancy just wouldn't be there for more than a minute or two, to keep the truck floating, if that, and certainly not by the time the tow truck go there, even if the windows on the truck were up.
My bet is that the owner approached the ramp front ways to talk to someone he knew, or to check the water before going to the staging area and did not set the parking brake correctly, or it failed after he had exited the truck, and gravity took care of the rest.
