Hello,

I recently purchased this 12' 2001 Klamath boat to restore during the winter. Its pretty bad to have to restore a 2001 boat, but the price was right and the work sounded fun (first timer). The boat originally had carpet lining the interior. Im guessing someone left it outside a few years, in the Northern California weather causing pretty much everything on the inside to FAIL. I pulled all the carpet out, removed the floorboards (lined with some sort of vinyl material), disassembled the live well/front deck area, and found an EXTRA long shaft Suzuki to push it. I removed the carpet adhesive yesterday, used some fancy stuff from the local Hardware store (came off like melted butter!). Ill update my project if anyone cares to see.

My main question: Has anyone ever seen another Klamath boat similar to this one? I havent. It has a snubbed nose, right at 12' and the outboard motor sits within the outline of the boat. Is this some sofrt of custom order? The title says its a Klamath and I can see where the decals used to sit reading a faint "Klamath" logo. any information will help me.

Thank you!

Boat turned out pretty nice. I learned a ton on this project. #1 issue was the paint. Never again will I get the paint from WalMart, even though it was supposed to be a good brand (Rustoleum) I had major issues with their textured stuff. Boo! But eventually got it on there and here is a follow up of my Klamath. I redid the interior with vinyl and carpeting. That part was fun with instant gratification. Found a 1979 Johnson longshaft to push it around. Next and final step (hope) is a bow mount trolling motor.

Thx
