full throttle and no go?

Lately I've been having problems with my 3cylinder 40hp yamaha. My friend adjusted the jets so the engine doesn't stall when I go full throttle. Now with that fixed, I can go full throttle, but now I it doesn't seem to go anywhere. I know the prop is spinning but it's not going.

spun prop hub-send it out to a prop shop

Can I fix this myself?<br />Also, I have trouble getting out of gear--forward back to neutral.

not fixable yourself..the hub needs pressed out and a new one pressed in at "X"thousand(s)pounds of pressure...the hard shift sounds like a cable adjustment
