Re: Full Synthetic 2-cycle Outboard Oil
Not sure of that oil specifically, but they typically mix with non-synthetics in general. Why change now? I wouldn't. I might be inclined in a new motor and keep on using it, but the thing is 20 years old. Use the cheap stuff. Anything you can get now is better than was available back then. If you already bought it, you shouldn't be afraid to use it. But I wouldn't spend the extra $$$ on a 20 year old motor. I just don't see any advantage to it.
Having said that, I have an 87 Celica with 260K miles and I'm using synthetic oil in that. But that's more for the cold temps and petroleum's tendency to thicken-up in cold winter temps. Synthetic stays about the same as when it's warm and the motor zings right over with the starter no matter how cold it gets outside.
