Fuel Water Separator

Do the inline fuel water separators filter particulates in additon to removing water from the fuel? I have one hooked up inline on my 1999 Johnson 115 J115PLEEM. Just wondering if I need to add an inline fuel filter as well along with the fuel water separator. Thanks guys!

Yes, but every setup I've seen includes a particle filter, too.

Your water separator will filter the fuel as well as gravity separate the water from the fuel. Clean the main strainer under the airbox, if you have one, before running the motor.
