I don't think you have anything to worry about. I think it's the sun hitting the filter and changing the color of the fuel. I hhave the same issue with my v6 crossflow. I ran it 5-6 days ago. Then, I ran it yesterday and the fuel was orangish colored. When I got back from the outing the fuel was blue again. I've seen this now on both of my boats. This boat has all new lines and the tank was removed and cleaned(inboard plastic tank). The other boat has removable tanks(plastic) and all that stuff is clean and clear. It's got to be the uv rays changing the fuel color. If my tanks were not spotless with all new lines, I wouldn't be so confident about it(well, at least my stuff LOL!) But you may want to peek into the tank if it's possible. BUt if you have blue or green gas in the filter and then it turns brown, I would say it must be the sun.

Well my boat has a aluminum 40 gallon tank and the filter is under the motor hood and my boat it kept under a roof so no sun hitting it at all after the motor runs for a while the fuel will be nice and blue/green in the filter again

fuel nowdays is getting terrible for going rotten very fast.
I know that 2 weeks and my juice is crap even in dark cupboard in a garage.
I cant believe how this is happening, when 20 years ago I had around 1500 gallons in my garage and used it over a period of about 15 months.
It never went bad or smelled strange etc, it stayed perfect,in clean 5 gallon containers no problem.
ive also noticed that the fumes from todays so called petrol acts like a paint stripper too !!!!! what on earth is being put in with this stuff.
and the diesels are having diesel bug !!!!! that was never heard of 25 years ago, again had loads of diesel never go off.
