fuel tank repair

I've got a 1984 ski boat. Always used in fresh water. I plan to replace the original fuel filler hose and vent hose this fall. I've noticed they are cracking. I sometimes smell a fuel type smell, although I never see fuel in the bilge. I'm considering pulling the fuel tank out of the floor and inspecting it. Question: If I do find evidence of corrosion or leak, can the tank be repaired? I'm not sure I could ever find an exact dimension replacement that will fit under the floor like the original. Thanks.

I gues that depends on the damage.

You can get a custom made one, or use one that is just a bit smaller and secure it.
