I had my 1975 85 hp Evinrude 2-stroke dealer-winterized at the end of the 2006 season. I also had my 2 6-gallon fuel tanks filled and "Stabilized". The boat was garaged but not used this past season. Any opinions as to whether I should drain the tanks and refill or should I be good to go? Thanks!

You should be fine. A whiff of the fuel when you're ready to use it will tell you if it has "varnished" or it's OK.

Re: Fuel storage question

If the gas has been in the tanks since 2006 I'd pour the contents into my car or truck. If the fuel has oil added, I'd add it when the tank is less than half full and top off the tank with fresh fuel. The car or truck won't know the difference. That fuel is already a year old so use it while it will still burn. Leave it alone and the next question you ask will be where can I dispose of rotten fuel.
