This 2003 Yamaha has been flawless for just over 700 hours and it won,t start for the first time!!.Checked fuel supply to the first pump and is all good, bulb pushes fuel through the filter, which is clean and no water evident, and straight on through the outlet of the lifter pump( i think that is what it is called).I checked power to the electronic pump behind the manifold and that is ok.Engine turns over fine and will start for a few seconds and die,No flooding is apparent.Should there be a wind up of pressure from the electronic pump just after turning the ignition on like most fuel injected engines, absolutely silent. All service is done, fresh plugs, oil, stabilizer in the fuel and the tank is kept full... Any thoughts on this is appreciated, I,m no mechanic but it would sure help to have a clue !!..
Thanks

If this was recently serviced I would check the water seperator (double gasket..ed)/on engine fuel filter for air leaks, if you suspect fuel restriction. Usually on these motors a severe restriction can be heard by the low pressure fuel pump (slight ticking, louder with the cowling off). Has the low pressure fuel pump ever been rebuilt?
