Fuel spilling out of 1 carb (1986 175HP)

Fuel is spilling out of one carb on my 175HP engine. It spills out when I get the engine running (tough to do as it is being flooded), and when the primer bulb is pumped a lot.

Suspecting the float, I pulled the carb and everything looks fine (when I turn it upside down and try to blow in it I can't [only a tiny bit]).

Should I try a carb kit (I rebuilt all of the carbs 4 years ago)?

Thanks,
John

could be in the carbs, I had a similar issue with fuel spitting and it was a stuck needle. the float would fall and the clip to the needle would just strech, leaving the needle seated in the main jet. I've also had fuel spitting out the carb one time and a screw from the air silencer had come loose and got sucked down the bottom carb, thankfully stopping in the reeds. reed valve could be broken, hard on the cylinder if the reeds are metal. I take my carbs off and clean the needle regularly because ethanol is gumming them up faster than before, 4 years is a long time to go w/o opening them up IMO....

I took the float bowl off again and swapped in a seat and needle I had laying around, problem solved, runs like a top. Inside looked as clean as it did 4 years ago. The fuel in my boat is always new as I use it weekly at the minimum.

Thanks for the suggestion.
