Fuel Quantity Indication?

We've had a used 150 S/W II Yamaha installed on a 20' Grady. The Speedo has a fuel gauge as well and so the Techs disconnected the old standard gauge and went with the Yamaha gauge.

The question is, can I connect both fuel gauges in parallel, off one sender? The Yamaha gauge doesn't appear to be all that accurate, perhaps a compatibility problem?

Thank you!

Rarely will you find a reliable guage for fuel. Some people with built in tanks use a wooden dowl to confirm the guage by dipping it in the tank.

Bob

Hi,is the sender correct for the guage? I've just replaced my fuel guage on my bayliner and had to make sure I got a guage suitable for a U.S. sender as standard senders in the U.K. are apparantly different. Just a thought.
