Re: fuel pumps for my 2000 4.3 gi pefs ?

I am not a mechanic. I have twin 4.3's and my fuel pump in the one engine went bad back in August 2009. After speaking to my mechnaic over the phone, I tried to get away with replacing just the one pump and not the whole assembly (not sure if it is the low or hi pressure pump). Paid $229 for it and used it for 5 minutes until the engine cut out again. I then needed to replace the whole fuel pump assembly and paid $560 for it. Since I technically used it, I was stuck with, and still have, the single pump. We can talk if you are interested in it. Sandbar Charlie
