I found a AC delco 40778 fuel pump, is it a marine pump or not?? And if so, will it fit a 327 chevy?? Thanks

Its on e-bay, I already bought a holley electric, but I thought if I could get a mech one, it would be an easier install. The guy is not sure if its a marine, thats why I thought I would ask here, guess I chose wrong. Sorry to bother you bond-o.

I looked on ebay for that pump. Looms like it will fit sbc but I would say not marine. That fitting it just to vent the diaphram to atmosphere. Doesn't look like a spot for the line to back to the carb. It is new, but how old? Has rubber parts that can dry and rot out. It may be $.99 but shipping is $35! I would keep looking if I were you.

Thank you very much stingray, I appreciate your help, I googled it and it sounded like it was marine, but it didnt confirm it. I am new to the I/O scene, I dont know much about them, and the boat I bought has all automotive parts. I do have all the parts to make it right, I just thought if I could save a little $ on a mech pump that would work, it would help me out. I guess I will be wiring in a holley this week. PS, patience is a virtue(BONDO)

I do not think I would be using a electric pump in a boat unless it was for EFI of some sort.

Buy the correct parts and you should not have any problems with them.

Most of the SBC stuff will fit other SBC..That's one of the great things about GM.. Take your fuel pump off.. Head down to the boat store and compare.. I bet they are the same...I am not a GM freak so I don't know for sure
