fuel pump power, Merc 650

Can a fuel pump in a 69 Merc 650 pump fuel from the bow of the boat, 20' to the motor? If no, could I install a low pressure pump near the tanks or any other ideas. <br /><br />Also does a universal auto fuel filter work ok inline on the fuel line? <br /><br />Sorry for the repost..my previous was probably to long for anyone to read.

Yes it can pump from the front of the boat and no buy a marine cannister filter, here on iboats, NAPA, anywhere that sells Sierra products
