Need either a new diaphrame or fuel pump kit for my Force 120 92.I am having some problems getting it to idle and am forced to start in gear in order to get it to run, once I bring it back to idle it dies.
My diaphrame seems to be ok but I thought that it would be worth a shot replacing as I not sure what a bad one looks like.
Thanks to all those who helped with my last post.
(top cylinder dry)seems I had a clogged elbow on the top cyliner recirculation system.
Any suggestions on the idle problem I now have would be great.Compression.(127,125,125,104)

Thanks.

Re: Fuel pump parts ? force 120

Email iboats and see if they have a rebuild kit for your fuel pump. If not try NAPA. Your compression is still low in number 4. Not sure if this is a big issue. When motor bogs down at idle choke it once and see if your rpms increase. Also verify that your idle adjust screws are about one full turn from being all the way in. Hopefully it is just adjusting these screws that is all that is needed.
My first post on Iboats was similar to yours. My solution was rebuild and clean carb, rebuild fuel pump and replace fuel hoses and make sure all fittings are clamped. Hope you dont have to go through all this. If you get it running good try doing a decarb on the motor and then check you compression again.

Good luck

Go to mercurypartsexpress.com click on parts for Mercury, then enter your serial number. You should be able to order parts from them, I have a 70HP Force and they have all the parts that I have ordered, that's the best site that I have found for Force parts.
Dennis
