so my fuel pump isnt getting power, the motor is a 2006 mercury 4.3 tks in a 97 wellcraft. its an electric fuel pump, but the motor is carbed. ive got no power to the pump, and the few wires i can actually trace without hacking up the harness have continuity. problem is i cant find wiring info for a electric pump on a carb

There should be a fuel pump relay somewhere to check. Maybe near the master circuit breaker on the motor.

Loads of wiring diagrams if you use google images!

There are no relays, power comes from the starter solenoid which is fed from a slave solenoid. First place to look would be the starter solenoid.

You should have an oil pressure switch that feeds either a fuel pump relay or the pump itself. It should have three terminals and either get power from the starter solenoid or ignition. I would start there. Check for voltage with the ignition on, and while cranking. Is this stock or added by the po?

Ayuh,.... The fuel pump only see's Power when the motor is bein' cranked by the starter, or after the motor is buildin' over 3 psi of oil pressure,....

Your engine is part of manual No 32 and it has two relays. A main power and a fuel pump relay, both of which are the same. They should be located on top the engine and when the key is turn to run you should hear 2 beeps and the fuel pump run for 2 to 3 seconds. Each of these relays have an inline fuse which are enclosed in rectangular black rubber boxes with the fuse inside. Look around and find out if you hear the relay click. If you do not hear a click then look for the main circuit breaker and see if power is passing it. Next go to the ignition switch and see if power is passing through the purple wire. If all others are working then find the fuses and relays. Relays can be swapped, as before they are the same type

well turns out camleot and bondo were on point. i traced the power wire back to the starter solenoid. ohmed it out, that was good. but it was twisted around 2 wires that bolt to the back of the solenoid, i didnt like that, and it looked like it could rub itself through, so i unbolted the 2 wires only to find out that the terminal for the 2 wires was rotted. so i had to replace the terminal. still not getting voltage at the fuel pump, so i went full throttle with what bondo said. and said F this, i want to hear it run.... i know it runs on the bad gas in it, so i put everything together and started trying to fire it up. after about 10 minutes it was trying to start but just wouldnt fire. on my last attempt it fired up and idled, seemed to run fine, but if i gave it gas it would cut out. tomorrow im going to work on getting all of the gas out
