I have a 1972 evenrude lark 50 hp, and a 1974 johnson 50 hp, the 72 has three lines going to the fuel pump and the 74 only has two, can someone tell me what the third line is for on the 72. Thanks
The fuel pump operates by pulses from the crankcase. The third hose feeds those pulses to the pump on the '72. But the '74 gets it's pulses direct through a drilling and gasket.
