hi everyone!

just received my check valves...

im aware that there is a certain way to install them. I looked at the diagram but does not indicated how.

I am also aware one of them is very difficult to get to... any details how to remove would be great

thanks

Re: fuel pump check valve

Look very closely at the way the original check valves are oriented and install the replacements the same way. They're spring loaded, so fuel will only flow in one direction.

One of the valves is a press fit. I just take a pair of needle nose pliers and pull/pry it out which pretty much destroys it.

One way to install the new one is to use a 1/4" drive socket that is the same diameter as the recess that the replacement valve sits in. Set the valve in place so that it is sitting evenly in the recess, place the socket on the valve so that the socket is only touching the outer edge of the valve and gently tap it into place.

Re: fuel pump check valve

well I succeeded in the replacement of the valves... a lot easier said then done.

if your ready to tackle this job you better have a dremel ready...

the two valves close together are not to difficult to remove but the one deeper into the pump your going to need a dremel and very slowly remove the material to weaken the press fit.

they seemed to be working but for me they were stained very yellow.

I blew with my mouth into the opening and I really got only one direction flow.

hope this helps someone
