Re: fuel problems

For the answer is yes depending how much of those lillte black flakes are in your filter they might clog up the filter after a while and maybe get through if there a lot of them. I got a similar problem with my tank " In a big way last weekend I was at the boat ramp and the hose was stopped up not the filter this to can happen and cause your engine not to run because even though the filter is after it the line was stopped up and fule got to the filter but would not get in the engine the right way. I unclogged the connection by running a electric tie througn the hoses then pumped the primer some. But in your case i suggest getting a see through gas filter and putting it the line like mine is I got one filter in the engine and one right before it on the gas line clear one big. That way just keep a eye on the filter. Will give you a idea that will help you some.
But if your really worried replace the lines and the tank to be on the safer side also.

Re: fuel problems

Are you talking about the filter in the fuel pump or somewhere else? How old is the fuel line from the tank to the fuel pump?

Hooty
