I am working on an older Evinrude 9.5,approx 1970,with the old downdraft carb.
The motor runs fine for only a few minutes and then runs out of fuel.If I run the motor and keep the bulb pumped constantly it runs fine, and keeps running.
I have change the tanks and hose assembly several times and the problem persists.
A new fuel punp is $55.00 so I don't want to guess.
Any other likely causes,or should I replace the pump?
