i have a 1967 9.5 horse envinrude sportwin outboard. the problem is that the motor will run until it empties out the bowl on the carb then it wants to quit. so i pump the fuel system full again with the ball and it does the same thing.any help would be appreciated.

Re: fuel problem?????

Do you have a repair manual??

It sounds like a fuel pump problem or it is sucking air
between the bulb and the tank. Therefore it empties
the bowl then comes the air.

Have you put a new line from the tank to the engine??
That might be the cheapeast place to start (especially if
it has been a while since it has been replaced). ;)

You either have a fuel pump problem or it is pulling air in somewhere in the fuel line. check your fuel line closely for any problems or since it is very inexpensive i'd replace it. Also make sure the tank is venting
