Hi!
I have a 30 hp Tohatsu electric starter 2 stroke engine. the first start of the day it will fire up first time on full choke and throtle. however if I do not catch the engine to start first time that is it. the engine will turn over with a good sparke but on checking both plugs are very wet. it will then go after drying the plugs. I have tried various starting methods - i.e. half choke, no choke, half throttle and no throttle
any help would be welcome
the engine is two years old it always behaved in this way. once running it is great
thank you

Re: fuel problem

Go through the carb. Sounds a bit rich. Unless there is poor spark, the wet plugs are the result of too much fuel/oil entering the motor. Might have the float set too high. These motors usually will start well below half throttle.
