Runs fine until fuel filter runs dry, Try to prime with bulb and cannot get fuel to refill filter. I remove hose from carb and filter will fill up and run about ten minutes before it runs out of gas in the filter. This is a vor system is there something in the pump that will cut off the fuel if it is not getting oil.

I just bought this boat and took it out Fiday and it ran great, took it Saturday and had to limp in. Has fresh gas, rebuilt carb., new filter.

What kind of fuel tank? Is it vented? Try running with the filler cap loose.<br /><br />Is the primer bulb new? If not, replace it. Make sure the fuel direction arrow on the primer bulb is pointed toward the engine.

DJ it is a 6 gallon plastic tank, and I did try it with the cap off made no difference.

Thinking of doing a rebuild on the vor fuel pump can not see paying over two hundred for a new one.
