Fuel pressure problem

my fuel filter is only half full with gas, i have a new carb, whhen i give the throttle gas it dies and doent want to speed up, it idles fine just no gas when i throttle

need to know much more about your engine and type of fuel filer, If your talking about the glass bowl at the bottom of your fuel pump that is not a filter. If it has gas in it your pump needs replacing.

its a 1991 ski nautique with a v8 inboard, the main problem i have is it warms up fine but after 15 minutes of wakeboarding it dies and doesnt stay consistent in idle or go in first to go forward it just dies out, it will go in reverse slowly thats how i get back to the dock, please help, i just had a brand new holly carb put on,

Who's engine? PCM, Mercruiser, Marine Power? They all have different fuel systems, The 350 is from Chevy, but everything on the long block is done by the mariniser of the engine.
