Fuel or spark?

Hello again, my johnson 115 (1978) is appearing to load up. New coils made it better but not right......I'm thinking wrong plugs, gap. It has autolite 2634 plugs gapped at .30. Sound right? All plugs are equally "wet". I feel like carb problems would show top and bottom differences. These plugs were in it when I got it but I have a gut feeling they are wrong and or wrong gap. Any expert advice would help. Thanks in advance:)

Re: Fuel or spark?

What's the compression on it ?? Will the spark jump a 7/16" open air gap on a spark tester ??

Re: Fuel or spark?

Go to CDI Electronics.com and check out the test procedures for ignition.
