Hi all,

I know this is a dumb question..but.. I just purchased an old boat, and want to make sure I get the fuel/oil mix right. My motor is a 78' Johnson 70hp. Does anyone know the correct ratio?

To be sure you have the correct 50:1 mix you can go to walmart and get a mixing bottle in the fishing dept for $2.

Dutch

50:1 = 1 pint (16 oz) or quality TCW-3 two stroke oil mixed with 6 gallons of regular (86-87 octane) gas.

Don't bother with high test it will lead to early carbon build up and not deliver any extra performance.

Bob
