Fuel Mixture 78 mercury 140 HP

I know this sounds stupid but I do not know what to mix my fuel at, I have seen guys mixing at 50:1 but the gut I just bought it from said 20:1 ?<br /><br />I mix my Suzuki DT85 at 40:1<br /><br />Thanks in advance, any help would be apprieciated.

The Merc and the Suzi both do best on 50:1, Dave. <br /><br />If the Merc has been running 20:1 you should probably do a decarb. Check the Engine FAQs for decarb advice.<br /><br />Good luck.
