Fuel Mixture - 4AMCH

Hi,
I bought a boat which came with a 4hp Yamaha for the dinghy. It's a 2006 model 4AMCH - all I know is it's 4hp and it's got 1 spark plug and its a two stroke. What is the correct fuel mixture to run? Some people tell me 50 to 1 and others tell me 100 to 1.

Well, Yamaha doesn't sell anything below 8hp two strokes in States then or now....but i really doubt it's 100:1...you could run it at 100:1 for one gallon...see if it fouls plug or smokes a lot...going rich on oil wont hurt anything at all...lean will. You can always call Yamaha and ask, they are very helpful on the customer service number...even if you bought it used.
