I am thinking about moving my fuel tank forward for better trim. I have an outboard, a 6 gallon portable fuel tank and a 16'boat. Does the length of the fuel line matter or can it be any length I might want?

I did the same thing, w/same sized boat. No problems. I did use 3/8" line for the run from the bow to the transom area (where my filter/water separator is located. Don't know if that was necessary, but cheap insurance.

I use to run one 18' so you shouldn't have any problem. I was using a 90 HP Johnson and the time.
