Fuel Line/Bulb Failure

What causes these to go bad ? If you push in the check valve and squeeze the buld you should get fuel to spary... correct ?<br /><br />Thanks<br /><br />Derek.-

Morning Derek...<br /><br />Usually what happens in a primer bulb is that one or the other check valve falls apart. Both need to be working in order for the bulb to work as it should.<br /><br />You probably already know but, there are two one one way checks in the bulb. When you squeeze the bulb, the check closest to the tank closes and the check towards the engine opens to let fuel go to the engine. Release the bulb and the opposite happens. Fuel is sucked up from the tank and fills the bulb, squeeze and fuel goes to the engine. On occasion, the bulb can crack from age. Leaking hose connections are a pain to sometimes. <br /><br />Hope we have helped answer your question.
