fuel leaking

i have a 81 evinrude 140, i got it free with a boat that was sitting for a while, i cleaned her up and had it running fine, while about to run it for about the 5th time (never under load) i pumped the bulb and it began leaking out of the exhaust, (large amounts of fuel) it would not turn over (like it was hydro locked) until i pulled the bottom plug, when i turned it over fuel shot out about 10 feet. prior to this i broke a hose on the primer valve, i thought it was the prime side so i pluged it just to test out some things before i replaced it. is this the reason for the problem?

Re: fuel leaking

By "the bottom cylinder" do you mean the bottom port cylinder? If so, it's likely the fuel pump diaphram is ruptured and pouring raw gas into #4.
