I have a 1977 Johnson Seahorse 55 hp 2/cylinder.
I put a "kit" in the fuelpump and noticed when I pump up the fuel bulb there is fuel coming from the back of the pump,is this normal? Thanks for your help.
Johnny

I also have a 55 johnson, I would suggest take the fuel pump off and using the same gaskets, try it again. The screws probaby were not tight enough.
Good Luck,
Joe

Thnaks Joe, I took it apart and reassembled it. Its not leaking now. I also noticed the instructions showed it should have a "screen" just inside the cover, mine didnt, nor did one come with the rebuild kit. I reckon I'll need to look at the OMC parts store for one of those. As far as I can tell, its the only filter on my fuel system.WOW
JB
