Fuel leak below top carb

I have an 115 hp 83' evinrude power head on an 84' leg.
Went trolling for 6 hours the other day. Motor ran well.
Caught 16 small tuna for family and friends.

Started up the motor today and noticed some fuel dripping from the bottom of top carb. It drips during idle from the plastic fitting where the large fuel line enters the carb. It doesn't appear to be from the hose but rather the L-shaped plastic elbow.

What is the plastic piece called? It seems I would have to take the carb apart and replace some gaskets along the way. Simple fix?

Would I have to re-adjust the carb after?
Could the ethanol in the fuel have worn out the fitting?

Seems like something keeps going wrong with this motor.

Once again, Thanks guys for all of your help

OK, I put on a new zip tie this afternoon and the leaking stopped. Alright!

Hi,

I am having a similar problem and hoping that my fix will be as simple as yours. Did you just use a standard zip tie? Did you have to remove components to get to the fitting?

Ya, just a real small zip tie will work and don't know, you may have to pull some things to get to it.

Just make sure you get it to stop, I have seen people launch there hood 100' in the air because of a gas leak, pump the bulb hard and make sure you got it before you go out again.

Here's an update (I know it's been a while!):

My problem was that the fitting on the carb was actually cracked. The hose ties onto the elbow-shaped fitting, which is directly attached to the carb. The fitting could not be replaced and so the carb cover (I know there's a better word) had to be replaced.
