What's the consensus on using the automotive equivalent of fuel injectors on boats?
I looked up the price for injectors (Merc #885176) for my 6.2 MPI and of course my draw dropped. What would be the automotive equivalent to this injector?

Many are the same but many are not, there is the rub

Unless the auto and marine are tested side by side your guessing. There is a guy on Offshore only "articfriends" that has a shop in Michigan, could ask him

Why do you think you need new ones?

You could have all 8 cleaned and flow tested for much less than replacing them

Basically just asking the question. Just hearing/reading things where some folks take the automotive part route because it's way cheaper but I also recognize cheaper may not always be the right path to take.

You can Google a few videos and other information on testing marine vs. automotive injectors.

Isn't it less expensive to buy a new boat than replace the injectors? :ROFLMAO:
