I have twin fuel tanks on my boat, one carries 125gal the other 75gal. I have a single fuel gauge with a toggle switch that allows me to go between the main and aux tanks to check fuel levels. The aux tank reads fine but the main tank seems to reading way off this year. I think the problem is in the sinding wires attached to the tank, they are a bit messy. My question is how to SAFELY take them apart and clean them? I feel like one of those bomb sqaud guys sitting on a 125 gal gas bomb just asking for a spark! Any help would be appreciated!
