Ok here it is..... I am rebuilding my boat again and decided to add a fuel gauge.(small fishing boat with portable tank) I am going to add a volvo fuel sender to it the ohm reading are from 10 to 180. I want to connect it to a faria fuel gauge but when I tested this set up the gauge only moves from full to 7/8 tank. That is the full range of the sender. Not sure what is going on or how to fix this. Any help would be great!

Re: fuel gauge and sender problem

The problem is incompatibility between the sender and gauge. The gauge requires a sender calibrated 33 - 240 ohms. Your Volve sender won't work unless you use the Volve gauge with it. Fuel senders are available right here on iBoats. If there is a flat spot on the tank you can make it work.

Re: fuel gauge and sender problem

Thx Silvertip thats what I was afraid of. Since my gauges all match I guess the easiest would be a new sender. Thx again
