Fuel/Gas Ratio

Can anyone confirm the fuel to gas ratio on a 1959 johnson 35? I have had conflicting stories from people some saying 26/1 some saying 50/1, any help would be great,

it is actually 24 -1 6 gallons gas to 1 quart of tcw 3 outboard oil
