So the expanded parts list for the 1996 M40C doesn't have a P/N for the threaded x barbed plastic inlet fuel fitting on the 34532000 carb. I'm curious of anyone knows where to get this little fitting or have come up with some "Yankee ingenuity" on what to use to replace it.
Mine is cracked and the PO had used JB weld to encase it but that has cracked away exposing an air leak into the line right at the carb.
Any help is appreciated & thanks in advance for helpful comments.

Never was available. Maybe a brass elbow could be drilled/tapped to fit.

Paul, I've found that that fitting is pushed over the aluminum somehow, not threaded into it. Have you or anyone else on iBoats come across this and figured out a way to retrofit?
The plastic is cracked and turned 360 on whatever aluminum stub is on the carb.
I've tried yanking the plastic fitting off, but it is on there really good, like it was molded in place. If I pull too hard it will certainly destroy the plastic fitting.
Not so sure I can actually drill out for a new male threaded replacement since this is the main port to the float orifice and needle.
I'm not really wanting to spend $200 on a new carb over a .50 plastic part...
Thoughts???

I understand. This was always an issue. I think you will find the plastic elbow was put on "hot" to the stub fitting. You may be able to cobble up something from a brass fitting you find at your local NAPA or similar.
