I am going from two portable 6 gallon tanks to a fixed 18 gallon tank. I want to install a fuel filter in-line somewhere. Should it be placed before the prime bulb and after the tank or after the prime bulb and before the engine? Thanks!

I do not know any more than you, but I would put the filter in the orginal position. There should be a place on the engine; the fuel line leading to the fuel pump

Anywhere before the squeezie ball.Easy access,to change filter. Then a small particle filter between the pump and carbs.
Wally world, part# G12 or G2, something like that.
Any inline connectors? They leak (ethanol)and suck air.

I suppose that would help...

It is a 1972 1150.
