I am putting together a multi-stage filtration system for my cummins diesel. My question is what is the best fittings for this application. I will be using reducer bushings and a short pipe nipple. I heard that the sulfur in diesel fuel is not compatible with yellow brass. I am not sure if this is true.

I have never heard that. I have been using brass fitting on the low pressure side of deisel engine fuel systems for over 20 years.

I've never heard of that either, but if it concerns you, use steel.

Thanks for the quick replies. I will be using yellow brass. You wonder how these misconceptions about a issue start.
