As a VERY general rule of thumb, it takes one gallon of gas per hour to make 10 hp. So if you are running wide open and making 225 hp, you should be around 22.5 gal per hour. If you back off the throttle and are making 180 hp, you should burn around 18 gal per hour.<br /><br />There's a lot more to it but that's a start.<br /><br />Good luck!
