We carry a 9.9 hp two-cycle kicker (w/ standard prop) in case our main engine quits ....... What's your best guess for the hourly consumption of fuel at WOT pushing a 7000# craft? (the vessel weight is probably irrelavent) .... Wondering how long six gals will move us.

theorctically it will use 6 gallons of gas in 6 hours. since its not fuel injected two stroke most likely a little more hten a one gallon an hour now thats at full throttle. maybe 1 1/8 gallon an hour

i promise u at least 5 hours of running time at full throttle. possibly a bit more

I would change the prop. Standard prop is the wrong prop for that boat
Solars makes a 10 inch diameter by 7 pitch by 4 blade. Would push the boat better and do not run WOT for much better mileage without much change in speed.

don't expect to make a lot of headway with that motor on that boat. it may keep you into the wind and waves, till help can arrive. suggest you get a back up Seatow or Towboat membership. agree with prop change.
