Lowered the engine into the water to one morning after the boat had not been used for about 3 weeks. The last time out was an all day trip. Noticed a considerable amount of fuel slick. thought it was just trim oil. Started the engine and the slick increased. Shut it down, trimmed it up and took off the cowling.
soaked up three papertowels worth of fuel that accumulated in the corners.
Could not find any leaks and no accumulartion ocurred over the next several hours. Took it out for about 20 minute spin, trimmed it up with no fuel present and did not see any over a 24 hour period or since then. Inotherwords I cannot recreate the fuel leak. Any help is appreciated.
