Does anyone know the fuel capacity of a 1985 Chaparral 205 20' W/A Cuddy? I tried manufacture but could not get any info. Also, does anyone have any good or bad comments about this particular boat? I found one in mint condition for a really good price but can't find any details or specs from the manufacture. The current owner doesn't have any manuals.

I'll get back to you later today. At home I have a brochure - just can't say what year.

In the meanwhile you might do a search on this board for 'Chaparral' - it returns 98 hits.

It's right at about 50 gals (47 sounds right). I have one and love it. Very solid boat and easy to work on and around. Mine has a 4bbl 350 and tops out around 58mph. I can water ski all weekend on 2/3 of a tank. I use mine fishing in the ocean as often as I can and the cuddy really helps to cut through bigger waves and keep you dry.

Check the deck and rear seats as they are plywood and can dry rot.
