front cover help super sport

I have a two piece cover that snaps on . What holds it to windshield base. I see two semi round aluminum pieces on windshield but nothing on cover. something is missing but i dont know what. picture please.

Sounds like what mine had (I never had a cover though). I would bet the cover would have a rod sewn into it that would slide into that piece.

What I had below the windshield looked like a tube w/ a slit in it. Sorry, no pictures, it's long gone.
