I want to antifowl my bottom this year. What's the proper proceedure to get her on blocks from the trailer? I've put the boat and trailer on blocks for storage but never just the boat.

Or, is this something I should just foot the bill for and bring to the marine yard and have them do it?

Thoughts and suggestions greatly appreciated.

Jeff

Could you tell us just a tiny bit about what kind of a boat you are trying to put on blocks?

It's not going to be any easier to paint the bottom when she is on blocks.

Ease the boat 6" to 12" back on the trailer. Paint what you can get at, let it dry. Move the boat back to towing position, paint the spots you missed.

what i do when i want to work on the trailer or the boat bottom is. tongue to ground, block the transom on each side, then using a jack lift the tongue, this raises the the stearn off the trailer enough to work. you can then block the bow Carefully, and lower the tongue. do the work around the bunks or rollers and get her back on the trailer as soon as you can. then you can paint the rest. if you do it on the drive way, you can use a mechanics creeper, to move around.

Thanks JB and TashasDaddy! I never thought to just paint it while on the trailer. Makes sence to move it back the 6-7 inches of the roller space, let it dry up real good, and then pull her forward to finish up the rest.

This only proves my point that if I look for a difficult way to do something, I can find it. Thanks for keeping it simple.
