Fresh Water intakes/Pumps on 7.4L w/ Bravo One??

I'm just wanting to clarify something before I start tearing into things...

I have a 1990 Maxum with 454 (7.4L) and Bravo One.

If I understand correctly, I have a freshwater (seawater) pump located on the motor. This pump draws water in through the lower unit and cools the motor, right?

Is there also a water pump of some kind in the lower unit itself? If so, does this one have ANYTHING to do with the one on the motor, or does this JUST cool the outdrive itself?

It looks pretty self-explanitory how to maintenance the seawater pump on the motor. What needs to be done to the one in the outdrive, if there is one? How do you get to it??

Thanks. Sorry for the rookie questions, but I figured this was the place to ask.

OH, and I did just download the Service manuals from the "Adult's only" link... Looks like it's #11 and #15 for my application...

Thanks,

Ayuh,...
The Bravo drives are only the straw to draw water by the Raw Water Pump, mounted on the Motor....
The Motor also has it's Circulating water pump...

In Boat Talk,.... Freshwater Cooling is when antifreeze is used in a heat exchanger....
Regardless whether you boat in Saltwater, or Sweet Water....

OK, makes sense... I'll try to get the more correct "Boat Talk" to describe this stuff in the future! ;)

So does this mean that there isn't anything in the outdrive (Bravo One) itself, as far as a water pump goes, to worry about needing to service?? Is there an impeller pump in the outdrive that has to be maintained as well?? If I'm reading what you posted correctly, you are saying there isn't...??

Thanks... yes, I've downloaded the service manuals for my boat already.

Thank you for the clarification...

Alright... removed the pump from the boat and took it apart. After 20-years (only 286 hours, however), it's just worn... Will replace and rest easy as far as fresh-water circulation goes...

Thanks for the assistance.
