I've tried everything suggested to others on this issue. I have even called my ISP and had things tested/checked. When I am logged in and go from the forum to a sub topic there's a freeze problem when scrolling down the page. I can't reply to a topic either...freezes. The weird part is when I'm not logged in I can scroll all the way down every page with no issues. I don't understand this..but on the other hand I'm not real tech savvy with computers. The problem started several days ago, I havent changed/updated browsers or anything at all to the pc. Frustrating to say the least. Vista home premium and IE9 . I am surprised this post made it lol.

switch to Chrome or Firefox. Clear all cookies and history and report back.

If it was working until a few days ago, don't go switching browsers. Check for Windows updates and make sure Windows and IE9 are fully up to date. That's the first thing I would do. Clearing history, etc. is a good idea - Here's a method for that https://kb.wisc.edu/page.php?id=15141

If you can't reply to this thread, start a new one in this forum if you can. I'll move it to keep things in one thread.

I"m not a fan of Google (except for a search engine) but have to admit....it's working now. Thanks redneck joe. I am now an official hi tech redneck lol...fixed my own problem. With guidance of course.

Hey Ga this is the second member reporting this problem today. I didn't know if anyone else had reported the issue.

I couldn't get the same looking page (as your link showed) up. To get to the gear icon I have to go to control panel, the clicking the gear just brings up actions I can do as admin. None of those actions had a place to get to the little boxes that you can either check or uncheck for browser stuff. I did change my browser to GC..grrrr. Seems to be working okay though. Thanks for the help, I do appreciate it.

The write up I linked is only for IE, so it won't work for other browsers. All browsers have a similar function. Might have to use Help to find it in Chrome.

my Charter internet is so crappy I am not sure if my freezing is due to that or my system so all I know is chrome works best and most of my work websites are migrating away from IE.

I do believe a security patch was applied on Friday. This might be the cause of the freeze up issue some members are experiencing. I will check out what changes were made and see if that could be the cause.
