Hi All,

I need to replace the seals in the section of windsheild that is walk through. I want to remove the walk through part so I can take it apart and replace all the shrunken seals. There are no pins I can see and the hinge is a molded part of the frame. It looks to me like it slides up and out but I can't get it to do that. There is a small plastic clip in the middle of the 'hinge' and my guess is that is what is stopping me from sliding the window up. I don't want to snap it, so I'm wondering if anyone has done this in the past. The boat is a 1999 Four Winns Vista 328 and I suspect the windshield is made by Taylor.
This is the best picture I have of the hinge, I can get another in the spring.

I'll take a stab. That looks an awful lot like the top hinge of a bahama shutter (yeah, I have multiple rods in the water). Often, to prevent "walking" of the shutter curtain across the hinge, I will put a rivet on each end to prevent movement. Perhaps there is a rivet lurking on one or both ends. If so, just drill out and the glass unit should slide right out. Hope it helps...Richard
